Basketball Game Preview: Perspectives Leadership/Technology Warriors vs. Crane Medical Cougars

The Perspectives Leadership/Technology Warriors and the Crane Medical Cougars will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Perspectives Leadership/Technology's tournament run continued when they took on Zion-Benton on Monday. Perspectives Leadership/Technology breezed by Zion-Benton to the tune of 63-32. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 31 points or more this season.

Perspectives Leadership/Technology relied on the efforts of Liiban Debela, who went 7 of 11 en route to 19 points and five rebounds, and Phoenix Childs, who posted 17 points. Childs' morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Pikes, who had eight points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Crane Medical entered their tilt with St. Francis de Sales on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 73-64. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Pioneers are ranked 444th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Perspectives Leadership/Technology is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Crane Medical, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Perspectives Leadership/Technology came up short against Crane Medical in their previous meeting back in January, falling 57-53. Can Perspectives Leadership/Technology avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
