Volleyball Recap: Vandegrift Vipers vs. Hutto Hippos
Vandegrift entered their tilt with Hutto on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They beat the Hutto Hippos by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Vipers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
While Vandegrift won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-9, 25-22.
Jenna Hehman paced Vandegrift's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hehman got some help from
Ava Carrasquillo and her 33 assists.
Kristi Bishop controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Vandegrift pushed their record up to 28-14 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Hutto, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-20.
Vandegrift will square off against Vista Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hutto does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
