Soccer Recap: Newton-Conover's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Newton-Conover and Shelby squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Newton-Conover had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Lions. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Newton-Conover couldn't quite close it out.

Newton-Conover's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-6-3. As for Shelby, the win keeps they at an undefeated 25-0.

As of now, neither Newton-Conover nor the Golden Lions have any future games scheduled.
