You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Lee Christian on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Cape Fear Christian Academy Eagles out of the water with a 63-33 final score. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 28 points or more this season.

Lee Christian was led to victory by Kaleigh Wilson and Madison Mashburn. Wilson went 13 for 21 en route to 27 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals, while Mashburn went 9 of 19 to rack up 24 points and six boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which Wilson has scored at least a third of Lee Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Annika Harris, who posted two points along with eight boards and four steals.

Lee Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive contests.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lily Kate Dupree, who scored eight points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Andemichael, who earned five points.

Lee Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-14. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points over those games. As for Cape Fear Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
