Baseball Recap: Woodsville Takes a Loss

After flying high against Profile on Saturday, Woodsville came back down to earth. The Engineers fell just short of the Littleton Crusaders by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Engineers have suffered since April 9th.

Woodsville's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Littleton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-7.

Woodsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Littleton, they will welcome Gorham at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Crusaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
