Softball Recap: Danbury Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Danbury can now relate to. They fell 3-0 to the Thorndale Bulldogs on Saturday. The shutout was out of character for the Panthers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Danbury's loss dropped their record down to 18-7-1. As for Thorndale, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Danbury beat Thorndale by a score of 11-4 later that day.
