Waltonville came out on top against Christ Our Rock Lutheran on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Spartans won by a run and slipped past the Silver Stallions 9-8. That's two games straight that the Spartans have won by just one run.

Waltonville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Christ Our Rock Lutheran, the loss snapped their winning streak at ten games and leaves them with a 12-2 record.
