Basketball Recap: Milan Comes Up Short

Milan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 46-32 to the Grosse Ile Red Devils, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 38-34 back in January.

Milan's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Grosse Ile, their victory bumped their record up to 5-14.

Milan and Grosse Ile could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Milan (ranked 490th) will meet Huron (ranked 124th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Grosse Ile will square off against St. Mary Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday down 437 places (458 vs. 21).
