Woodland Christian took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Colusa, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cardinals won by a run and slipped past the RedHawks 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the RedHawks back in March, they had to take a 11-1 loss.

The team relied heavily on Adison Huiskens, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Ariana Perez, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Woodland Christian's win bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Colusa, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-7.

Looking ahead, Woodland Christian will venture away from home to face off against Ripon at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Colusa, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 7-0 win against Pierce on the 9th.
