Preview: Chagrin Falls Tigers vs. Perry Pirates
Chagrin Falls has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Perry Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Perry took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Chagrin Falls, who comes in off a win.
On Saturday, Chagrin Falls strolled past Beachwood with points to spare, taking the game 67-50.
Chagrin Falls found their leader in underclassman Jacob Kay, who scored 17 points along with two blocks. Aiden Beresford was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Perry pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to Lakeside. Perry has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Chagrin Falls' victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Perry, they dropped their record down to 9-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Chagrin Falls might still be hurting after the 67-44 loss they got from Perry in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Chagrin Falls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
