Football Recap: Los Osos Comes Up Short

Los Osos lost against Upland back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Grizzlies lost to the Highlanders/Scots at home by a 31-13 margin. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 385th, while the Highlanders/Scots are ranked 33rd).

Los Osos has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10-1 record this season. As for Upland, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Los Osos will face off against rival St. Lucy's at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Upland is set to take on their familiar foe Etiwanda at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Highlanders/Scots 11.1, the Eagles 6.7) so any points scored will be well earned.
