Volleyball Game Preview: Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders vs. Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots

Sunshine Bible Academy hasn't had much luck against Hitchcock-Tulare recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Crusaders will head out on the road to challenge the Patriots at 6:30 p.m.

Sunshine Bible Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Faulkton.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Hitchcock-Tulare waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted since September 13th.

Sunshine Bible Academy better focus on containing Cambree Hoekman and Olivia Knox as the pair were huge in Hitchcock-Tulare's win. Hoekman had 27 digs and one assist, while Knox had four aces and three digs. That's the most digs Hoekman has posted since September 2nd.

Hitchcock-Tulare was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winner only served eight.

Sunshine Bible Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Hitchcock-Tulare, their record is now 16-3.

Sunshine Bible Academy couldn't quite get it done against Hitchcock-Tulare when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Crusaders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
