Midview managed to keep up with Steele until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Midview Middies lost 93-68 to the Steele Comets. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (57), the Middies still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Midview still got an impressive performance from Brady Newton, who went 9 of 10 en route to 24 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Luke Jockel, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points and three steals.

Even though they lost, Midview was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. This was only their ninth loss (out of 11 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Midview is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13. As for Steele, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
