Soccer Game Preview: Coronado vs. Grand Junction

The Coronado Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Grand Junction Tigers on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Grand Junction will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Coronado extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Cougars' defense stepped up to hand Harrison a 3-0 shutout. Coronado's winning goal came courtesy of Aryeh Alberts.

Meanwhile, Grand Junction and Montezuma-Cortez combined for 18 shots on goal on Friday, which explains the impressive five total goals scored. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Panthers. That's two games straight that Grand Junction have won by exactly three goals.

Coronado's win bumped their record up to 9-2-4. As for Grand Junction, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.
