Soccer Game Preview: Tyee vs. Highline

Tyee is 1-8-1 against Highline since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Titans will welcome the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Tyee has given up an average of 7 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Tyee's offense. They lost 14-0 to King's on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Tyee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 274th, while King's are ranked 108th).

Meanwhile, Highline kept a clean sheet against Renton on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Red Hawks with a sharp 4-0 win. Considering Highline have won four matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Highline's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Tyee, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1.

Tyee suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Highline in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
