King came tearing into Thursday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 20-2 margin over the Northwestern Colts. Considering the Crusaders have won seven games by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

King pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Northwestern, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: King beat the Colts by a score of 18-0 later that day.
