Recap: Trinity Chargers vs. Midland Classical Academy Knights
The Trinity Chargers lost against the Midland Classical Academy Knights back in November of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Trinity was outmatched by Midland Classical Academy on the road and fell 68-9. Trinity was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-8.
Midland Classical Academy was led to victory by Mariah Davis and Addie Dunn. Davis scored 17 points along with seven steals and five rebounds, while Dunn scored 27 points along with six steals. The matchup was Davis' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harper Colwell, who scored six points.
Trinity now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Midland Classical Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sanderson at 1:30 p.m. on December 14th. Sanderson comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Midland Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Country Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Country Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Midland Classical Academy in Texas (Lake Country Christian is ranked 148th, while Midland Classical Academy is ranked 711th).
