Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westfield). They blew past the Minnechaug Regional Falcons 15-4 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Bombers in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won nine in a row.

Westfield's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Minnechaug Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Westfield will challenge rival Hampshire Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bombers 4, the Raiders 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Minnechaug Regional is set to take on their familiar foe Pittsfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
