Baseball Game Preview: Park Rangers vs. Butte Central Catholic Maroons

The Park Rangers are taking a road trip to face off against the Butte Central Catholic Maroons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Park is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Park came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss two weeks ago. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of East Helena by a score of 3-1 last Thursday.

Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lliam Edwards, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Butte Central Catholic faced East Helena in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Maroons had just enough and edged out the Vigilantes 3-2.

Butte Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything went Park's way against Butte Central Catholic in their previous matchup back in March, as Park made off with an 11-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rangers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
