Northwestern extended their winning streak to 13 on Wednesday, bumping them up to 13-2. They blew past the Girard Yellowjackets 16-4. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

As for Girard, they moved to 12-6 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since April 18th.

For Girard's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bri Frawley, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Northwestern will square off against Iroquois at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Girard, they will face off against Fairview at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
