Basehor-Linwood's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They never let the Emporia Spartans get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The Bobcats not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15th (when they won 20-0).

Basehor-Linwood is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Emporia, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-8 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Basehor-Linwood will take on Lansing on Tuesday.
