Basketball Game Preview: Byron Tigers vs. Lutheran Crusaders

The Byron Tigers will square off against the Lutheran Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Byron is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down Prince of Peace Prep 79-62 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Lutheran got the win against North Boone on Tuesday by a conclusive 78-54.

Lutheran has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.2 points per game. As for Byron, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.

Byron strolled past Lutheran in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 70-51. Does Byron have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lutheran turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
