Softball Recap: Gabrielino's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Gabrielino hadn't done well against Rosemead recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Eagles blew past the Panthers 12-6. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Sophia Guerrero was incredible, firing off three triples, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those three triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Martel, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Gabrielino was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rosemead only posted a batting average of .273.

Gabrielino picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-15. As for Rosemead, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Gabrielino does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rosemead has already played their next match (against Blair), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
