Softball Recap: Elizabeth Comes Up Short

Elizabeth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 21-4 to the Governor Livingston Highlanders. On the bright side, the four- run performance marked the Minutemen's highest-scoring game to date.

Elizabeth's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Governor Livingston, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elizabeth will take on Dayton at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Governor Livingston, they will head out to challenge North Hunterdon at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
