Recap: Carnegie Wildcats vs. Mangum Tigers
The Carnegie Wildcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Mangum by a score of 25-22. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Carnegie in their matchups with Mangum: they've now lost four in a row.
Austin Solis was his usual excellent self, rushing for 238 yards while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Lavoie, who rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
Carnegie has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Mangum, the win was the fourth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Carnegie will look to defend their home field on November 3rd against Apache at 7:00 p.m. Mangum does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
