Softball Recap: Baldwin Wins Going Away Against North Shore

Baldwin won the last time they faced North Shore and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bruins were the clear victors by a 16-10 margin over the Vikings. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Liv Pascual spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Baldwin let Samantha Prongay and Jadyn Culbreath run wild. Prongay went 4-for-5 with three RBI and two runs, while Culbreath went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave Prongay a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Erin Timmes, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Baldwin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 12 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Baldwin is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for North Shore, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

As of now, neither Baldwin nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
