Basketball Game Preview: New Brockton Gamecocks vs. Luverne Tigers + How To Watch

The New Brockton Gamecocks will head out on the road to challenge the Luverne Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. New Brockton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

New Brockton will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Elba, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Gamecocks blew past the Tigers 74-10 on Tuesday. The Gamecocks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Luverne ended up a good deal behind Bullock County on Monday and lost 50-34. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hornets 9-2 in the first quarter.

New Brockton picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Luverne, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

New Brockton beat Luverne 61-52 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gamecocks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
