Volleyball Recap: Bassick Lions vs. Foran Lions
Bassick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Foran Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bassick of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-14, 25-10.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Foran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amara Dalipi, who had six aces and four kills. The dominant performance gave Dalipi a new career-high in aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Lila Tarczali, who had five kills and four aces.
Bassick's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Foran, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.
Bassick is on the road again on Thursday to play Notre Dame Prep at 6:00 p.m. As for Foran, they will challenge Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
