Recap: Upper Lake Cougars vs. Lower Lake Trojans
Upper Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. Their tough 7-1 defeat to the Lower Lake Trojans might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Upper Lake of the 7-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2020.
For Lower Lake's part, Luke Campbell was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Upper Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lower Lake, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Upper Lake will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Helena at 4:00 p.m. on April 2nd. As for Lower Lake, they will head out on the road to face off against Marin Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
