Softball Recap: Oak Ridge Finds Playoff Glory Versus Macarthur

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oak Ridge had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over the MacArthur Generals. The result was nothing new for the War Eagles, who have now won 14 matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Oak Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for MacArthur, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11-1.

As of now, neither Oak Ridge nor the Generals have any future games scheduled.
