Game recap: Bishop Gorman High School Football Team defeats Centennial

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nev.) received a huge boost from its defense against Centennial (Las Vegas, Nev.), as the unit scored 12 in defeating Centennial (Las Vegas, Nev.), 59-7.

The Gaels were up 49-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Anu Solomon in the first quarter.

Bishop Gorman expanded its lead to 56 points entering the fourth quarter. BG scored once in the quarter on a Tajon Allen touchdown run.

Allen and Solomon ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Bulldogs. Allen scored two touchdowns on the ground and Solomon added two as well.

Austin Turley made a difference for Centennial. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.

Solomon was the top performer for the Gaels. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown. A member of the Top 25 Combo Quarterbacks, Solomon has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.



CHS's lone touchdown came on a 40-yard pass from Turley to Brandt Honda in the fourth quarter.

Bishop Gorman came into the game allowing 17.2 points per game. The Bulldogs' seven points were well below their season average of 35.3 per game.

The loss comes after Centennial defeated Arbor View 14-9 last week. The loss snapped Centennial's 3-game winning streak.
