Volleyball Recap: Izi Hunter Key Part of Team Effort in Blue Jays Win

Clever won the last time they faced Mountain Grove and things went their way on Monday too. The Blue Jays walked away with a 3-1 win over the Panthers.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-21, 20-25, 25-12.

Clever got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Izi Hunter out in front who had ten digs and three assists. Those three assists gave Hunter a new career-high. Allie Dunn was another key player, getting 11 digs.

Clever's win bumped their record up to 16-12-3. As for Mountain Grove, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14-1 record this season.

Clever didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Strafford on the 14th. As for Mountain Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Willow Springs on the 14th.
