Baseball Recap: Questa Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Questa duked it out with Penasco on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-3 on Tuesday.

Questa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lukas Cisneros, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run. Cisneros has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Jesus Juarez was another, earning one run and two stolen bases.

This is the second loss in a row for Questa and nudges their season record down to 7-4. As for Penasco, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-9.

Looking ahead, Questa will take on McCurdy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Penasco, they will challenge Estancia at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 12.4 runs per game this season.
