Softball Recap: Bishop Lynch Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hockaday on Wednesday, Bishop Lynch came back down to earth. The Bishop Lynch Friars fell just short of the Mesquite Skeeters by a score of 7-6 on Thursday.

Kylie Love made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Anna Medaris, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Bishop Lynch has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. Mesquite's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5-1.

Looking ahead, Bishop Lynch will venture away from home to square off against North Mesquite at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Mesquite, they will welcome Cooper at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday. Cooper is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
