Baseball Recap: West Ashley Comes Up Short

West Ashley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-5 to the James Island Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 last Monday.

West Ashley's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for James Island, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

While West Ashley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
