Recap: Weleetka vs. Maud

If there were any doubts about the heavy odds in favor of Weleetka coming into their match against Maud on Thursday, the team laid those doubts to rest. Weleetka took their contest against Maud on Thursday by a conclusive 52-22 score. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Weleetka, who can brag about five blowout wins.

No one put up better numbers for Weleetka than junior Brennon Lewis, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 167 yards and 2 touchdowns. Lewis has been a consistent playmaker for Weleetka as this was the 5th good game in a row from him. Senior Coleton Hudson also deserves a shout-out for his two TDs.

The teams are both focusing on improving their conference standings in their upcoming contests. Weleetka will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Caddo. Weleetka are cruising in on a four-game winning streak while Caddo are stumbling in off of four consecutive losses. As for Maud, they will go up against Strother. Maud's defense better steel itself: Strother are averaging 35.5 points per game.
