Gregory-Portland waltzed into their contest on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Their defense stepped up to hand the Alice Coyotes a 14-0 shutout. Considering the Wildcats have won ten matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Gregory-Portland's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those six games. As for Alice, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gregory-Portland will face off against Flour Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
