Volleyball Recap: Appleton West Falls to New Holstein

Appleton West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Holstein Huskies.

New Holstein's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addison Thiel, who had five kills, five aces, three digs, and two solo blocks. The team also got some help from Bethany Anhalt, who had five digs and a solo block.

Appleton West's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for New Holstein, they have been on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That run has powered them to a 7-3 record this season.
