Floyd Central entered their tilt with West Carter on Saturday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-58 victory over the West Carter Comets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Jaguars have posted since December 27, 2024.

Floyd Central's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points over those games. As for West Carter, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Floyd Central will face off against Leslie County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Carter, they will take on Raceland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
