Soccer Recap: Obion County Comes Up Short

Obion County came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-0 to the Huntingdon Mustangs. If Obion County were looking for revenge after losing 8-1 to Huntingdon when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Obion County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Huntingdon, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-1-1.

Coming up, Obion County will take on South Gibson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Huntingdon, they are taking a road trip to square off against Dickson County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Huntingdon's defense better be ready for this one: Dickson County have averaged an impressive 4.2 goals per game this season.
