Basketball Recap: Tamalpais Comes Up Short

Tamalpais was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 65-30 loss at the hands of the Cardinal Newman Cardinals. The Red Tailed Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-14.

When it comes to explaining why Tamalpais lost, don't look at Porthos Oliveira. Despite the final result, he posted eight points.

Tamalpais' loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Cardinal Newman, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Tamalpais didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-57 defeat against San Marin on the 10th. Cardinal Newman has also already played their next contest, a 45-38 victory against Maria Carrillo on the 8th.
