Basketball Recap: Carnegie Drops Season-High Score on Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carnegie). They breezed by Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College to the tune of 62-14 on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Wildcats with their most commanding win of the season.

Leading Carnegie to victory were Karlee Tohkofper and Paxton Davis. Tohkofper went 8 of 13 en route to 22 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals, while Davis posted 15 points along with five boards and four steals. With that strong performance, Tohkofper is now averaging an impressive 2 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Kyleigh Bearbow, who scored six points and five steals.

Carnegie smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in eight consecutive games.

Carnegie's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-17.

Carnegie will square off against Olustee/Eldorado at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College, they will welcome Dove Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
