Elgin had won six straight games and Maycee Muselin did her part to make it seven on Saturday. The Elgin Comets slipped by the Ridgedale Rockets 44-43 thanks in part to Muselin, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Elgin's points.

Another player making a difference was Madison Hill, who posted three points and three steals. What's more, she also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in February of 2024.

Elgin's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. As for Ridgedale, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Elgin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-33 victory against Highland on the 21st. Ridgedale has also already played their next contest (against Wynford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
