Baseball Recap: Northwest Area Triumphs

Northwest Area won the last time they faced Sullivan County and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Rangers came out on top against the Griffins by a score of 6-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rangers.

Dominic Cavuto was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Paul Voyton was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Northwest Area was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sullivan County only posted a batting average of .050.

Northwest Area's record is now 14-6. As for Sullivan County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Northwest Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sullivan County, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against Sayre on the 17th.
