Softball Recap: Caverna Comes Up Short

Caverna came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Monroe County Falcons, falling 24-9. The defeat continues a trend for the Colonels in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost seven in a row.

Caverna now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Monroe County, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caverna will venture away from home to challenge Adair County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Monroe County, they will head out to take on Warren Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Monroe County is facing Warren Central at the right time seeing as Warren Central is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
