Basketball Recap: Shead Piles Up the Points Against Woodland

Shead waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Woodland Dragons 61-31. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 28 points or more this season.

Shead's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Woodland, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shead will welcome Narraguagus at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Woodland, they will be playing at home against Mattanawcook at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mattanawcook knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Woodland likes a good challenge.
