Volleyball Recap: O'Connell Takes a Loss

O'Connell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Burton Pumas, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pumas this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While O'Connell was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Burton's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-23.

O'Connell's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Burton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

O'Connell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burton, they will be playing at home against Leadership at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
