Basketball Game Preview: Pinson Valley Indians vs. Southwind Jaguars

Having just played yesterday, the Pinson Valley Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Southwind Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

On Friday, Pinson Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 65-61 to Little Rock Christian Academy.

Meanwhile, Southwind didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against East St. Louis on Friday, but they still walked away with a 44-38 victory. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 27th in Tennessee, while the Flyers are ranked 173rd in Illinois), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southwind's win came from a few key players Pinson Valley will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ronald Towns, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristopher Carrol, who put up 12 points and five rebounds.

Pinson Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Southwind, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.
