Basketball Recap: Pungo Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Pungo Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 43-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastern Christian HomeSchool Trailblazers. The match was a 17-17 toss-up at halftime, but the Raiders couldn't quite close it out.

Pungo Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Eastern Christian HomeSchool, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Pungo Christian Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Faith Christian at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th. Faith Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season. As for Eastern Christian HomeSchool, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on New Bern Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
