Hickory Grove Christian dropped down to 6-4 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They were dealt a 55-25 defeat at the hands of the Gaston Christian Eagles. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 46-29 to the Eagles when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Hickory Grove Christian had strong showings from Mackenzie Williams, who posted nine points, and Lauren Feaster, who had 12 points and five rebounds. That was a full 48% of the Lions' points, marking the third time in a row Feaster has put up more than a third of the team's points. Vivienne Greywoode also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

As for Gaston Christian, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points over those games.

Brooklyn Twitty continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 11 boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Jakyra Sadler was another key player, putting up 14 points and five assists.

Coming up, Hickory Grove Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Westminster Catawba Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gaston Christian, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Westover at 2:00 p.m. on the 26th.
